back in black.

So, I finally have gotten a chance to breathe and realized, that I really missed fashion, and my blog. So here I am, deciding to make sure Society Hill doesn't flatline again. Anyway, I can't say this first post will be anything amazing. Today, I decided to clean out my car, my basement and my closet, and realized once I bring all my clothes into my room, it looks more like a closet than a room. How do I bring this all to India?

vintage boots have been a staple with jean shorts for me.



vintage on the lamppost, belts and scarves and vintage in drawers. plus my favorite part of my room, my memory wall.





"that's a very nice shoe collection, imelda" (yes, I do have shoes in my closet, and a hanging shoe rack as well, but those are mostly flats, boots and shoes that need repair.)

I am in love with huge black jewelry lately. It's weird because I have lived two years basically sans jewelry, and now something in me is wanting to regain lost time. Annie Costello Brown's jewelry line is amazing. Big, bulky and black. I think I may break out my old records and do some cutting to make a diy triangle bracelet like above. Thank God for time off.

my life is too chaotic for this blog right now. I work at six in the morning to about midnight everyday. I've had to avoid fashion to save money, but my heart is breaking. I just want to sit one day with my computer and go through every blog and online store and swoon. But as of now, my 10 minutes I have on my broken computer (can anyone explain why my computer won't save images, macbook, I am starting to hate you.) won't cut it.


Does anyone want to work a day for me so I can drown myself in fashion and art? The money's great, and so is the food.

Introducing Ms. Sarah Cuje

I'll admit it, I'm on Facebook almost as much as I am on fashion blogs. Social Networks own me for no good reason. Anyway, whenever my friend Sarah posts new pictures, I always check them out. Not only is she a great photographer, she has killer fashion. So I figured since I haven't had time to take pictures of what I have been wearing, I'd show you the fashionista herself, Sarah. (Plus her pictures look so much better than mine.)

I love this bib necklace. I need to start wearing jewelry.


I also am falling more in love with red, so these black and red combos caught my eye.

I own these leggings and would never have the balls to just wear them sheer, but Sarah, you fucking own them.


It's so nice to have actual people, even excluding bloggers, can dress themselves.

when our economy gets bad, our magazines get worse.

Not only is the styling on this cover disgusting, but who is deciding the covers for Nylon now? It used to be so good. I can't even believe this is their cover now. Lindsay Lohan is not a style icon, let alone "a pin-up for a new era". Thank GOD my subscription to Nylon was free from Urban, because they are getting more and more disappointing. I'll stick to Missbehave, thank you.

And when will they realize Cory Kennedy is never going to happen?

I don't know how I feel about this.Where The Wild Things Are is my favorite book ever published. And I know it has become a fad, but my mom used to read it to me almost every night. And almost every night, I had horrible nightmares. I swore their were monsters in the house every night.


Now a days, I wish there were monsters in my closet, and hopefully ones as tacky as those in the book.
